The Syrian Ministry of Tourism, represented by the Syrian Tourism and Transport Company, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a consortium comprising Tamkeen Technologies, Cipher, and Hawaz to support the development and promotion of Syria’s tourism sector. The MoU aims to increase tourist arrivals, stimulate tourism-driven economic activity, and create employment opportunities for Syrian citizens.

Under the MoU, the parties will work together on a range of initiatives, including organizing tourism-focused workshops, designing tourism products and experiences, and developing a multilingual digital tourism platform for Syria. The platform will enable tourism businesses and destination management companies to effectively showcase and market their offerings, while fostering collaboration with key stakeholders across relevant sectors, government entities, and organizations operating alongside the Ministry of Tourism.
